Hearts, Hope & High Fives
June 25, 2025

May was a month filled with momentum, meaningful collaboration, and recognition of the impact B Loved Ethiopia continues to have in the lives of children and the broader community. This update captures our holistic efforts across all centers (Sodo, Bishoftu, and Addis Ababa) and the incredible progress made in construction, athletics, partnerships, and youth empowerment.
Athletic Achievements & Youth Empowerment
In Bishoftu, children participated in regular physical exercise sessions led by Coach Chale, assigned by the Bishoftu Town Administration’s Youth and Sport Department. Their dedication is already paying off. Alemayehu Beletu claimed 1st place in the 200-meter race and 2nd place in the 100-meter race during the Oromia Sport Federation’s preliminary events. Meanwhile, our young female athletes are training hard in pursuit of their goals. 🫸🏽🫷🏽(High Five!)
Partnerships That Multiply Impact
B Loved is deeply committed to collaboration. In May, we strengthened ties with various governmental bodies, faith-based organizations, local administrators, and NGOs. These partnerships allow us to combine expertise, align resources, and maximize our support to vulnerable children and families.
A highlight of the month was a comprehensive review meeting with all NGOs, CSOs, and government stakeholders. The gathering focused on partnership coordination, training on ICP portal software, and identifying community support priorities. It was a constructive event that set the stage for future impact.
Recognition & Site Visit
Among 55 Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), B Loved Ethiopia was honored as one of the top two organizations of the 2025 budget year for our best practices. As part of this recognition, forum participants, including the Deputy Mayor of Bishoftu City Administration, visited the B Loved Bishoftu Children and Youth Holistic Center. The visitors were deeply impressed by the loving environment and the quality of care provided to the children.
Construction Progress
Significant headway continues at the Bishoftu Children and Youth Empowerment Center. This facility represents our vision of long-term transformation by creating a space where children can thrive emotionally, spiritually, and academically.
Sustainability Through Farming
Our dairy farm and horticulture efforts remain vital to our operations. These programs not only supply nutritious food for our children but also reduce food costs and promote local sustainability.
May reaffirmed that collaboration, consistency, and community-focused action are key to driving lasting change. We’re proud of what’s been accomplished and more committed than ever to rising higher together.
Thank you for continuing to walk with us.
