Major Developments

The past few months have been filled with various activities and major developments. Some of these included the Bishoftu Project, the Sodo Center's Dairy Farming, and school achievements.
Educational and Spiritual Support
All B Loved children are doing well in school. They were given tutorial classes by their tutor teachers. Three of them were awarded by their school for their achievements, Lukas Labena, Engida Biniam, and Tekalign Mitiku.
The B Loved staff members provide psychosocial support to the children in Sodo and Addis. They also help them with their academic and social development through group home visits and group discussions.
All the kids have prayer and study the Bible together with their mom and aunt. Seventeen of them were able to graduate from a Discipleship, Serving and Spiritual Leadership course that was offered by Full Gospel Church.
The Bishoftu Project
The Bishoftu project agreement was signed on January 6, 2022. The town administration of Bishoftu provided 15,000 square meters of land for the OVC Holistic Care and Youth Empowerment Center.
Dairy Farm
In the following month, five cows were purchased and one of them gave birth. Two of them started giving milk that if being offered to the group home kids. A new staff member, Tekle Bonga was also recruited to coordinate the activities of the dairy farm. Tekle is married with two children and has a degree in Animal Sciene. We are excited to have him apart of the team!
