So Much to Celebrate

June 9, 2021

This past month we were delighted to have families come all the way from Texas to visit the children. They were able to stay in Ethiopia for a total of 8 days, and we all enjoyed their visit very much!

While they were here we surprised them and celebrated Logan Simpson, the son of our founders David and Amie. He has graduated high school and all of the kids were so proud.

Planting Seedlings

For the last two years, B Loved planted seeds in the community, and this year felt extra special with our company. The seeds have grown and it’s wonderful to see the beauty year after year. B Loved kids and staff planted 150 more seedlings in the “Youth Development Center” with our friends who came abroad.

Trip to Sodo

Twenty-two kids, along with our visitors, travelled to Sodo to visit their brothers and sisters and they stayed there for two consecutive days. We had a soccer match between the Sodo and Addis children and had lots of fun. The Sodo children won the match this time and took the cup from the Addis kids! They can’t wait to play again.

The Sodo children and staff also travelled to Hawassa for a fun recreational day at Hail Resort. The children enjoyed playing different types of games like swimming, swinging, football, golf and other fun activities. It’s simple to say, it was an extra fun day!

Welcome Zalalem!

For the first time, B Loved has hired a senior social worker for Addis Ababa kids. We’d like to welcome Zelalem Eteffa to the B Loved family! He has more than nine years of experience in charitable organizations with similar missions like B Loved. He has officially started his job and we wish him all the best in his future career.

Many volunteers have started to donate books to the center library. We have received donations from in and out of the country and we would like to express our gratitude to all donors! Our library is going to serve the children well!
